Sonic the Hedgehog: The Legend of 4 - Ch. 3

Everyone opens their eyes and gasps to see nothing but stars and blackness.

"Where... are we?" Saber grunted, looking around as he holds Maria closer to himself.

"I don't know...But I'm tripping out." Z spoke.

Suddenly, everyone heard a female voice from behind them...

"There's no need to trip..."

Sparklie gasps, "That voice..."

Everyone looks back to see a bright light as it floats down to them then forms into a white dove in robe.

"You." Shadow and Silver said at the same time.

The dove softly chuckles at them, "I knew you would remember me... I am Sagacity the Dove, the Guardian of Light."

"Saga!" Sparklie smiled.

"Sparklie, I am so happy for you and Shadow to have such wonderful children... I knew you two would." Sagacity smiled.

Sonic stares at Sagacity with awed. "Say... you're that bird..."

"Who saved you and your brothers? Yes, I am... Though, I wish I could've save you, Z... I am so sorry I'd failed." Sagacity frowned, slightly bowing to her.

"You didn't fail. I'd chose to protect my brothers. You can't change someone's destiny unless with the Chaos Emeralds. I chose to save them and protect them." Z smiled.

Sagacity looks back at her and smiles, "Just like your father..." then notices Blooma. "Oh, my... Blooma, you're so cute when you were young."

Blooms looked confuse, "Uh... Have we met?"

"Let's just say, I know your future self, the Guardian of Earth." Sagacity answered.

"Huh?!" Blooma exclaimed.

"Wai-wai-wait! Are you saying Blooma is one of the Guardians of the Universe?" Technic asked, pointing at Blooma.

"Yes." Sagacity answered, nodding. "You see, I can travel through time, travel through different alternated worlds and see the events of the past and future."

Sonic whistles with awed, "Now that's cool."

"I feel awkward for some reason." Shadow sighed.

"You'll get used to it, little bro." Z nudged him.

Silver smiled at the two.

"I'm sure you all have questions for me about your true past." Sagacity said.

Sparklie walks up to her, saying, "Yes, we do... It seem Z, Sonic, Shadow and Silver are really siblings to each other and have parents who were king and queen."

"And because of the events of Black Doom we got separated. But what I don't get is why did he want the eldest of either gender." Z said looking at Sagacity, "Because I remember when I was 14, he told mom that he was going to either take Shadow or me. Why?"

Sagacity closes, looking quite serious, "...You two once had a dark future..."

"Dark future? Them?" Blooma spoke, looking Shadow and Z.

"Yes..." Sagacity sighed. "Me and my guardian friends knew it would come true, so we all try to figure out what to do, but... Scythe somehow told Black Doom about it and send him to your family..."

"Scythe? Who's that?" Sonic asked.

The dove sighed. "He was once the Guardian of Darkness, but later on, he'd became consume by evil and darkness... He wants to destroy me and saw what future was in for you all. He made a deal with Black Doom and send that evil being to take either Z or Shadow..." Sagacity explained.

Sparklie frowns and feels worry for Shadow and Z's future, "...Will it happen?"

"No... That future no longer exist. Thanks to..." Sagacity slightly smiled. "...Thanks to Gerald and Maria Robotnik."

Both Z and Shadow didn't speak, they thought it would have gotten easier to forget about them.

"What was the future?" Silver asked.

"...They would've become evil and ruthless with darkness inside their hearts. I couldn't stop Scythe in time when he send Black Doom to kidnapped Z. Scythe knew this would happen and did everything he can to make it come true. He even put a false rumor about Gerald creating a powerful weapon and making a deal with Black Doom by destroy mankind... Which is how and why GUN came and killed the people on the ARK." Sagacity sighed with grief.

"It was... Scythe who done it?" Blooma asked.

"I'm afraid so... Once Shadow and Z were reawaken, they were suppose to just be cover with anger and hate towards all humans, but then..." Sagacity slowly smiles at Sonic and Sparklie, "...You all came in. Sonic, Sparklie, Rae, CJ and many more..."

"Us?" Sonic said, pointing himself and Sparklie.

Sagacity nods, "Yes... I knew you, Sonic, would stop Shadow with your determination and you, Sparklie, convince Shadow to prove not all humans bad and revenge never solve anything, you even give him love. And Z, if you haven't met Rae and CJ that day, you would've been fill with anger and wanted to killed GUN, but I manage to make sure Rae and CJ would meet you..."

"The white Feather... and then the three of us meeting on the island. Saga...did Maria appear to Shadow and Myself that day...the day we stopped the Ark from crashing?" Z asked.

Saga slowly nodded 'yes'. "Yes, but only as a spirit... Her spirit never rested that day... She even showed the past of the ARK to Sparklie in her dreams."

Sparklie gasps, "That was Maria who did that?"

"Yes... After you all stop the ARK from crashing into Earth, Maria has finally rested in peace, but she's reborn..." Saga looks at Maria the Hedgehog in Saber's arms. "...from within her."

Z smiled at her little one.

"No wonder... She did look like Maria." Z smiled at her daughter who was on Saber's head, "I see the adventurous Maria we know and loved... Right Shadz?"

Shadow nodded.

"What about me?" Silver asked, "Who did I get stuck with these powers?"

Saga smiles at Silver, "You can thank Cronus the Griffon, the Guardian of Aura."

"Guardian of Aura?" Technic repeated.

"Yes, like me, he knew Silver won't gain speed from his mother, so he gave Silver a gift of Telekiness." Saga explained.

Out of the blue, a male's voice appears in Silver's mind from when he was a baby...

"You may not have speed, but you have something no one else have... Use this wisely, little one... Use it to protect those in need..."

"Wow..." Silver softly spoke with awed.

"So... Why can Silver go back to the future? Is he meant to say here with us?" Z asked.

"Because the Chaos Emeralds knew Eggman Nega will be up to no good as always." Saga answered.

"The same one with... Blaze?" Sparklie asked.

Saga chuckles, "Oh-oh... There two different Eggman Negas. The descendant of Dr. Robotnik aka Eggman and the alternate world version of Dr. Eggman."

"This is confusing..." Blooma spoke, scratching her head.

"You'll get use it." Racy spoke.

"...But why won't the Chaos Emeralds let Silver return to the future?" Sonic asked.

"Because Eggman Nega no longer existed since Silver and his friends had created the present time." Saga answered. "...And Silver is needed in present."

"Well, at least I can raise my kids in a safe environment. And to think they'll have more uncles." Silver smiled.

"And an aunt." Dither added.

"Wow... Speedy and Fuzzy are related to Big Brother and Big Sis." Blooma said then thinks for a minute. "...Nah! I'll still call them Speedy and Fuzzy." She grinned.

"Oh, Blooma..." Sparklie chuckled.

"But, if the dark future is gone, why can Silver travel to the future anyway? I mean, he can still visit us, right?" Technic asked.

Saga suddenly serious, "...Because... a great evil is still coming."

"Is it the man you were talking about?" Z asked.

"No, not Eggman Nega... It's Scythe the Dragon, the once Guardian of Darkness." Saga sighed. "After the crime he done, me and the rest of the Guardians manage to sealed him between time and space to banish him, but he vow he will return to bring a dark future, no matter what... That's when I knew the only way to stop him is to reset the time link to push farther back from him being release... But I fear he grows stronger and he won't stop at nothing to bring a horrible, dark future.

That's when I figure it out... All of you here can stop and destroy Scythe by using the power of the Chaos Emeralds. However, in order to bring you all together... most of your loves had to be sacrifice after the death of the king and queen..." Saga frowned with grief and regret.

"...My father." Sparklie whispered.

"Uncle Chuck..." Sonic sighed with grief.

"M-My... home planet..." Blooma whimpered.

"Maria..." Shadow and Z said both.

"Dad..." Silver sighed.

Saga sighs, "I knew this would've hurt you all very much, but look what happened to you all... If you haven't lost your love ones, you wouldn't gain new ones."

"...She's right... I wouldn't gain a friend, a husband and a family." Sparklie said.

"I wouldn't meet you, Tails or Amy." Sonic said.

"I wouldn't meet Big Brother and gain a new family and friends." Blooms slightly smiled.

"I wouldn't have been able to know I had a family." Silver smiled.

Z smiled, "And I wouldn't have meet all of you guys."

"Talk about a small world, huh?" Racy spoke, smiling.

"Still, Sagacity... What can they do?" Technic asked.

They suddenly, another female voice, "You must look for the Chaos Emeralds."

Then a bright light flashing in front them and forms into the grown-up version of Blooma in pink robe.

"Wh-Wh-what?!" Technic gasped as his lower beak-jaw drops down.

"Oh static!" Sparklie exclaimed.

Blooma gaped with shock and awed, "Y-You're... m-me!"

The Guardian Blooma smiles, "That's right, Little me."

Z grabbed her head. "Now my head hurts."

"How do you think I feel?" Blooma groaned.

"There, there, everyone... I know it's weird, but is it interesting to see you all again." Guardian Blooma said. "And, oh, your children will be just like you guys."

Sparklie blinks then glances at Shadow, "...I hope our children won't act so cold like you did, mister."

"He-he.." Shadow chuckled.

"Oh boy..." Z smiled at her brother.

"Busted!" Silver laughed.

"Only Electrica will gain his personality, I think." Guardian Blooma said.

"...Now I know what I'm gonna call her." Blooma grinned.

Technic snickers.

"Oh, dear god..." Sparklie sighed, face palm with her hand.

"Don't worry. I know Maria will help make her not cranky." Z smiled.

"And she will. Maria will be very close to Electrica and Thunder. Along with Cloudia." Guardian Blooma said.

"Cloudia?" Technic repeated. "Who's that?"

"T.H and Cream's future child." Sagacity answered.

"Well, what do you know..." Sonic smirked. "Those two will get a kid as well."

"Awesome." Z smiled.

Sagacity clears throats, "Now then, back to the subject... Like this Blooma said, you all will need to find all seven Chaos Emeralds yet again. Scythe will soon be reawaken and will consume our time and space in total darkness."

"Yes, only you guys can do it." Guardian Blooma said.

Sonic put up his right fist with determination, "No problem! We've save the world many times now."

"Hmph." Shadow smirked.

"Here we go again." Z smiled.

"Alright, let's do this." Silver smiled.

"If we all work together as always, we can beat Scythe and save our future!" Sparklie smiled

"We can do this~!" Blooma cheered.

Then Technic asks, "Uh... Just one question? Will we really win? I mean, the Guardians are like god or something."

Sonic chuckles a bit, "Of course we'll win, right Saga?"

"...I'm afraid that something I cannot say, but I'm you'll do fine." Sagacity responded.

"Just got to have some faith." Z smiled to the hummingbird.

"Saga's right... I do see dad there." Shadow smiled.

Sagacity nods, "Yes... And I know you all can do it. However..."

"However?" Sparklie repeated.

Guardian Blooma explains, "Scythe is very different than other bad guys you ever fought. Remember, he is the Guardian of Darkness and will he do anything to make you guys fail... Whatever you do... Do not believe his word."

"Huh?" Saber grunted.

Dither spoke, "Scythe is good with tricking people... with honest words."

"And if you believe it, you will fail..." Racy said.

"However, as long as you have hope, courage, friends and love by your side, you can beat Scythe for good." Sagacity said.

Blooma looks at her friends, "Guys... I'm kinda scared." She whimpered.

"What's there to worry, Blooma? I mean, look at older yourself." Sonic spoke as he pointed at Guardian Blooma. "...She's here, which mean we'll win."

"He's right, Blooma." Sparklie smiled.

"Wow, Sonic said something intelligent for once." Z smiled.

Technic burst out laughing.

"Hey!" Sonic shouted, feeling insulted.

"Heh... Sorry." Technic smirked.

"Wait! What about the kids?" Sparklie spoke. "We can't just leave them."

Saber starts to grunts with excitement, "Ugh-ugh! Me!"

"You? Yeah, right..." Technic scoffed.

Saber growled at him.

"Actually, Saber is very good with children." Sagacity said.

Maria giggles in agreement.

"That settled it, Saber, your going to be on baby sitting duties." Z smiled.

"Baby...sitting? Why sit on babies?" Saber grunted with confusions.

Sparklie laughs, "No, Saber! That's our way of saying 'Watching the babies.' and stuff."

"Oh... Saber still learning." Saber sheepishly smiled, looking up at Maria.

Sagacity chuckles, "It seem you all are ready... You must tell your friends about this and find the Chaos Emeralds soon."

"Yes, Scythe will be reawaken soon. In few days..." Guardian Blooma spoke.

"No problem... You're talking to one of the fastest hedgehog." Sonic smirked.

Sparklie sighs at him, "There he goes again..."

"And the Ultimate Life Form." Shadow smirked.

"Oy..." Z sighed.

"MA AM!" A giggled followed.

Z's eyes widen. "Did I..."

"Was that?" Blooma gasped.

Everyone looks at Saber and Maria. Saber was looking up at Maria.

"Maria...spoke." Saber said, smiling.

"And said mama no less." Shadow was shocked.

Maria was reaching her stubby little arms out to Z, her mother. Z walks over and picks her up.

"Ma am." Maria said.

"That's right." Z smiled touching Maria's nose with hers.

"Yay! Maria's first word~!" Blooma cheered, clapping.

Sagacity smiles at the scene, "...This is why I want to change the future..."

"Don't worry, Saga. We'll save the future." Sparklie winked.

"We always do." Z smiled holding her daughter close to her heart.

"I wish you all good luck..." Sagacity said.

"Well, time to head back everyone!" Racy said.

"Yes, I'm sure everyone wonders where you are." Dither spoke.

"Well, let's go." Z smiled at everyone.

Shadow nodded.

Dither and Racy focus as light shine on them.

"We will meet again, my friends!" Sagacity said as they disappears.

Guardian Blooma glances at Sagacity with concerns, "Saga... Maybe we should've told them what will happened."

"It's best to not to tell everything in the future..." Sagacity sighed. "...Beside, they will succeed... after all you were there." with that she disappears.

Soon Guardian Blooma follows, sighing.

Outside the book, everyone reappears back outside.

Technic blinks to get his visions back, "Man... What a transport..."

"Say... Where's Dither and Racy and the book?" Blooma asked when she notices the dogs and the book are gone.

"They always do that." Sparklie said.

"Alright gang. Let's meet back at Shadow and Spark's place with the kids so that Saber can take care of them." Z said.

Then Shadow sighs, "...There are that GUN training."

Sure enough, he was right. Nearby, the GUN were training for something and there with them was Team Deception and Rouge the Bat.

Rascal was the first one to notices them, "Huh? Where did you guys come from?"

"Oh! It's our old friends again~!" Haze smiled.

"Really... you guys show up now." Z sighed.

Rouge smiles at Z, "Of course." then flies over to Shadow and Z. "So... How's things with the kids?"

"Yeah, Rascal and Rouge's kids are really acting like their mothers." Caper blurted out.

Rascal suddenly smacks Caper to the ground. "Say that again!"

Sparklie holds her back, smiling with nervous, "L-Let it go, Rascal!"

"The pain... I'm in pain... I'm in real pain, pain, pain..." Caper groaned with his face in ground.

"Fine thank." Z said holding Maria close.

Rouge smiles at Maria, "Such a cutie. My son is really getting better with his flying skills... Though it's problem since me and Knuckles can't catch him sometimes for his check-ups." She sighed.

Rascal knocks Sparklie's hands off her, scoffing at Rouge, "Well, at least you child doesn't have invisibility."

"Baya gain some gifts from her father?" Blooma smiled.

"Yes..." Rascal sighed then grumbled. "Dang that Espio and his invisibility..."

"So... what's going on?" Haze asked.

"Should we tell them, guys?" Silver asked.

"Well, Saga did said we should tell them about this." Sparklie said, nodding.

"Saga?" Rouge repeated.

Caper sticks his head out of the ground. "Who's Saga?"

"We'll explain at my and Shadow's place." Sparklie chuckled.

Minutes later at Shadow and Sparklie's home...

Saber was playing with kids while the others were explaining what happened with Sagacity.

"Hold on! Are you saying you four hedgehog are related as siblings?!" Rascal exclaimed, pointing at Sonic, Silver, Shadow and Z.

"Yep Z's the eldest. Shadow and Sonic are twins and I'm the youngest." Silver explained.

"Now, we need to find the Chaos Emeralds to make sure we can take out a very bad guy like god." Z explained.

"Malas como Dios!?" Caper exclaimed then collapse to the floor, front first.

Sonic stares at the pass out bull, "What did he said?" He asked Rascal.

"Just something about bad-like god or something." Rascal sighed.

"So, this Saga want us to save the future from a guy call Scythe who'll bring darkness through time and space?" Rouge said.

"Yep, that what she said." Blooma nodded.

"So, are you guys in or what?" Technic asked.

Rascal, Haze and Rouge looks at each other.

"First one who found green the Chaos Emerald first is the best treasure hunter." Rascal sneered at Rouge.

Rouge humphs, smiling, "You're on."

"Baa..." Haze sighed, shaking her head at them.

"Alright we'll split up in to teams. Rascal and Rouge are together find that Green Emerald, Caper and Haze can find the yellow one, Sonic and Sparks, you two can find the red one, Silver and Rae will look for the grey one and C.J and Tide will find the light blue one."

"Wait... How will Rae, CJ and Tide know?" Silver asked.

"I will tell them later." Z said, "Shadow, you'll get dark blue and I'll find the purple."

"Hey! What about me?!" Blooma exclaimed.

"And me and Tech here?" Technic humphed, crossing his arms to his chest.

"Chao!" Tech copy his owner.

"Easy, Blooma you're going with Shadow and Technic and Tech is with Z." Sparklie said.

Suddenly, a white blur flew in the room and clings to Sparklie's head.

"Chao-chao-chao-chao!" It was Hikari, Sparklie's Chao.

"Hey, it's Hikari." Z smiled.

Hikari smiles at Z, "Chao~!" then glares down at Sparklie, "Chao-chao-chao!"

"Okay! You can come with us!" Sparklie chuckled.

"Alright... I'll called Miracle and Faith to let them know about this and be on the lookout for anything strange with the world." Technic spoke.

"Chao!" Tech smiled.

Rouge sighs, "I'll have to call Knuckles to let him know about this as well."

"Me too with Espio." Rascal spoke.

"I'll get Omega as well." Shadow said.

"And Bruncher and T.H. Can't leave them out from fun." Sparklie smiled.

"Heh... I guess I'll contact Tails, so we can use the Tornado III." Sonic said.

"Oh no... Not flying..." Sparklie whined.

"Never knew you hated flying so much." Z said.

"It's falling I hate the most..." Sparklie grumbled.

"Geez, you really need to live a little." Sonic smiled.

Sparklies glares at him, "Said the hedgehog who can't swim."

Sonic blushes with embarrassment.

"Come on already! The sooner we do this, the sooner we can go back to our lives." Rascal spoke with impatient.

Haze then went to the bull and yanks Caper's tail to wake up him.

"Aye!" Caper yelled in pain, awaking up. "Me hizo!"

"It's just me." Haze smiled with innocence.

Caper growls at Haze, "What's wrong with you?! Scaring me like that..." yanking his tail back from Haze.

"Why are these three a team again?" Technic asked Blooma and Shadow while thinking Team Deception are idiots.

Blooma just chuckles.

"It's a mystery." Shadow sighed.

"Alright gang! Let's go, find the Chaos Emeralds and save the world!" Sonic exclaimed, smiling.

"Yeah!!"

Then Saber pokes his head from another room, shushing them, "Shh! The kids are napping..."

Sparklie covers her mouth to hold in the giggles.

"Okay best Nanny ever." Z smiled.

"Oh please..." Technic grumbled, rolling eyes.
